This year the festival will be celebrated on the weekend of the 15th – 17th of November. The festival will be open for entries on the 1st of August.
The 2013 Northern Wave festival dates have been moved from March to November due to a sudden tourist interest in Grundafjörður leaving all accommodation fully booked during February and March next year. The reason are orcas that come into the fjord during these winter months in search of food. The exact festival dates will be announced soon.
